We know from our research that:
- Accessibility to Containers for Change is one of the key barriers to participation
- People respond best to having a variety of ways to return
- People are not yet participating as they believe they don’t have enough containers to justify the trip
Small-format sites are integral to changing the behaviour of all Western Australians, making sure they feel comfortable in returning small volumes, ideally at a location close to home or work. This market is happy to either donate their refund or use Member Number to have it paid into their account.
Local Government regulations mean small format sites can be located in residential and business areas, which makes them an excellent way to grow your customer base.
WARRRL invites interested, current refund point operators who can deliver additional refund points (in their own right or in partnership with a third party) to apply for a small format site. Download the application form here.
