WARRRL’s Marketing and Communications (MarComms) team is responsible for all branding, marketing, and communications for Containers for Change’s consumer-facing activity in Western Australia.
MarComms works closely with Container Exchange Services (CES), other WARRRL departments, creative agencies, RPOs, and external stakeholders including community groups, industry partners, and State and Local Government Authorities.
RPOs can receive guidance and approvals from the MarComms team on branding, signage, implementation of marketing campaigns, social media insights and all media enquiries*.
*All media enquiries must be reviewed and actioned by the Media & Communications Manager. For more information on handling media enquiries, please read WARRRL’s media policy.
Campaigns
A Marketing and Communication campaign is a set of strategies used to achieve a business goal, including brand awareness, community education, and customer participation. MarComms use campaigns to drive scheme awareness and encourage industry and community involvement on our road to 85.
Western Australia is home to many diverse communities, so campaigns are carefully planned by analysing audience research and insights. This allows the team to determine the best way to engage with these communities.
WA’s “always on” campaign is Don’t Feed the Fill, with its focus on driving scheme awareness and inspiring new and long-term behavioural change. This ongoing campaign is boosted with tactical campaigns to continue to connect with new audiences and engage with existing customers in new ways. Recent tactical campaigns include, Summer Giving, Australia Post Bag Giveaway, and Empties Day.
You can see campaigns in action through targeted digital, television, cinema, radio, and press advertisements, printed collateral, signage, media articles and interviews, EDMs, and more. Campaigns often use unique creative assets that complement the overall Containers for Change brand.
