Planned temporary closure or change in operations

What to do?

If you are aware your operations will be impacted in the near future (road work changing access to site, planned power outage etc), as soon as you are aware of the event, simply send an email to you Regional Manager with the following details:

  • Impacted site(s)

  • Details of issue and impact on your operations

  • Date/time of closure/impact on operations including when operations are expected to be back to normal

What happens next?

  • After sending the email you should receive a confirmation that your request has been received by your Regional Manager

  • The Containers for Change website will be updated accordingly (if necessary) on the day

Additional actions to take

Before the day:

  • Put up signs on entry gate/door and inside your Refund point to advise customers of day/time of event and changes it will mean for your refund point

  • Contact any impacted logistics provider to make alternative collection arrangements

  • Update your socials with a warning notice and details of event to come

On day of the closure/change:

  • Update your own website and social media pages

  • Put up physical sign on entry gate/entry door to advise customers of the closure/issue – including when it is expected to re-open/be fixed.
